"A time traveller’s guide for dummies" Challenge Posted: 17 Mar 2010 09:50 AM PDT Fom 1 March to 30 June 2010, IT'S ART is holding a contest called "A time traveller's guide for dummies". The concept of this challenge is to illustrate a fake time traveller's guide for dummies by getting inspired with this concept: For more than a decade, time travelling has been allowed for everyone. Although it's secure nowadays, the government wants to produce a little guide for travellers to warn them about annoyances and how to avoid problems. This little guide uses different techniques to describe these situations, 2D pictures, 3D pictures, comics and videos. You're asked to choose one of these categories and don't forget to have a great sense of humor. At the end of the competition, a PDF version of the fake guide including the best submissions will be published.. Entrants must be CG Gallery members (free or subscribed account); if you're not a CG Gallery or Forum member, you can register for free here. To participate, all entrants must first open a thread in the Challenge Section (2D, 3D, animation or Comic) to post his/her work in progress. When the artwork is complete, the entrant must post their artwork in the CG Gallery in the appropriate 2D, 3D or animation "Time Travellers" challenge category. A link to the W.I.P Forum thread must be posted in the comments. Entries must be original and cannot be published in any forum except IT'S ART prior to the close of the challenge. Any entry that the judges determine to be identical or substantially similar to another previously entered piece may be disqualified as a derivative work. The environment then responds to your camera's position, orientation, rotation and lens properties. With your composition selected, simply run the script. A background composition is created with a default pattern inside. Simply drop an HDRI image or any other material into this composition and it will become the environment for your After Effects comp. Install this script in the Scripts folder.
